J. Adam McGalliard is a contemporary realist painter based in Jacksonville, Florida. McGalliard earned his MFA in Painting from the New York Academy of Art, where he studied with Vincent Desiderio and Steven Assael. He later spent nearly four years as an artist assistant to Jeff Koons, further refining his technical approach and studio practice.
His work has been exhibited internationally at Art Miami, the LA Art Show, CONTEXT Art Miami, Sotheby’s, Phillips, the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville, and the Museo de la Ciudad de México. He is currently exhibiting with Arcadia Contemporary in New York and was recently selected as one of five artists featured in the collaboration between the Art Renewal Center Salon and Fashion Week San Diego. He also received the Enchanted Living Magazine Award in the 17th International ARC Salon Competition.
McGalliard is Assistant Professor of Painting and Drawing at the University of North Florida, where he continues to develop new bodies of work in his Jacksonville studio.
